EARTH HOUR – Be Part of Largest Climate Event in History


EARTH HOUR, which is an auspicious movement celebrated throughout the world by switching off lights for at least 1 hour, is a great event. Started in Sydney (Australia) in 2007, this movement attracted huge following throughout the world. This year, the EARTH HOUR is decided to be celebrated on Saturday, 28th March 2009 from 8.30 – 9.30 pm. It does not matter wherever you are. Since the movement needs to switch off lights for one hour between 8.30 – 9.30 pm (irrespective of whether you are at home or office), this article invites you to join this auspicious movement and declare yourselves as the responsible citizen of Planet Earth.

Throughout the world, this year 1 BILLION people are going to celebrate the EARTH HOUR on 28th March 2009 by switching off their lights for 1 hour. Really, this is a wonderful movement, which cannot be described in words. A feeling of responsibility, a bit of sincerity and seriousness for the cause, and accountability for the future generations makes every citizen of planet earth join EARTH HOUR movement.

One billion people from across the countries, irrespective of whether they are developed and developing, are going to participate in Earth Hour movement.

The only eligibility to participate in this movement is to be the citizen of Planet Earth. And so you are! So, do not hesitate and there is no need to think twice before you join!

As you all know that earth is the only planet so far where we know life is there. There have been attempts to find other related planets that have the means of survival on them. Alas! So far, we do not have any positive results. Yet, we have been doing our attempts. Planet Earth stands tall among all planets and planetary systems by maintaining a friendly atmosphere for the survival of human beings.
