Did you ever thought how come politicians make so much money even though they don't toil in offices until late hours, don't work what they are expected to do, and not accountable to people who elected them. Political career in India is in demand nowadays. It is acting as a professional net for people who fail in every competition in life that has to won by truth, intelligence, and loyalty. Those who fail to achieve things in life using TRUTH as a weapon are joining politics. That why, today's politics are full of lies, muscle power, and brazen corrupt practices. There are political swindles running in billion rupees yet nobody will be jailed. The judiciary is so slow in judging cases and it takes years (sometimes 25 years!) in getting judgment. That's why people (read politicians) supported by corrupted professionals left and right, don't hesitate in siphoning money out the tax payer's money illegally.

Keeping the present scenario in mind, one need to think objectively what sort of political representative the country needs today. Do you think that the educational qualification (minimum Degree level) should be made mandatory? Do you think that the person who wants to contest elections should not indulge in corrupt practices? Is it necessary to make a rule that politicians when they are in power should concentrate only up on their constituency related matters and should not indulge themselves in other money making practices? In earlier days, people used to join politics to do service for the society not to enjoy power and perquisites like today's majority of the politicians. Why the situation is degrading like this? Where the ethics have gone?

For some, politics has become a retirement career. Most of the political parties today are roping in old, young, and failed movie stars just to attract masses for votes. Why like this? This is because the political parties are quite sure that the works they have done so far after staying in power for 5 years could not garner votes for them. That means they are indirectly telling people that they are incompetent. So, why vote for them? By roping in drama/ cinema people to ask for votes, they are really insulting the Indian citizen's intelligence. Do they really think that the drama/cinema star, who don't know anything about politics and ignorant of state affairs, can numb the intelligence of average voter and rise the mindless passion in him/her to vote for the recommended party?

Again, there are people who after earning money in billions and who had not done even a single voluntary service to the village/place s/he has born in his/her entire career, join politics and aspire to become a minister. When people of this sort are coming into politics and directly trying to exploit the country's political system in this country, this article asks every reader whether there is any way to stop them from doing so.

HOW TO ASSESS THE PERFORMANCE OF YOUR POLITICAL REPRESENTATIVE?

My dear fellow Indian citizens! Elections are around the corner and you have to choose your political representative, who is going to stay in power for the next 5 years, on the Election Day. What criteria are you following to decide whether to give him/her the power to serve you? Do you think that your present representative have been serving you well? Did s/he develop your constituency as per the promises made in the last term elections? Where s/he is lacking? Is s/he representing your constituency without fail by attending the Assembly/Parliament regularly? Is s/he discussing the issues in the Assembly/Parliament regarding the constituency or just keeping mum?

Friends! This is the time the country needs you. Just think objectively about 5 minutes before you decide to whom you cast your vote. Your 5 minutes thinking has the potential to decide the fate of this country for the next 5 years. The 5 minutes time of your thinking about the country does not come under wasting time but helping a developing country by choosing the right management who has the potential to stay firm against the challenges the world throws at and provide solutions for the same.

India, my friend, is a country of diversity. People here live in a democratic way. India is the largest democratic country in the world. The successful conducting elections in India convey a lot to other countries in the world. So many citizens of other countries, who are not under democratic rule, look at India as an inspiration. India is the guiding light of democracy to this world. Countr ies having Autocratic, Authoritative, Military, and Dictatorship governances look at Indian Democratic form of governance in awe. Being a citizen of India, you need to be responsible in your thinking while choosing your political representative. Do not get swayed away by the rhetoric statements of a few selfish politicians who want only your vote power but not your development.

Before you cast your vote, just think about how many times you have seen your politician in the last 5 years; a simple litmus test. This article lists out a few tips, which suggest you when to change your political representative. Change your representative:

Microsoft Outlook Inbox Mail Sorting Options Explained

Are you new to Microsoft Outlook? Do you know how to view your different categories of mails with a few clicks? This article lets you know in a simple way about how you can view your unread mails and sort out mails by Sender, Subject, Sent to, Conversation Topic-wise.

After your Outlook account has been setup by your Administrator, log in to the account using your Username and Password. Once you start getting mails, you need to sort them.

For sorting the mails …

1. Click Inbox; all the mails in your Inbox appears as the default view settings in three vertical panels. The first panel on your left displays your Folders, the second panel displays your Inbox mails, and the third panel displays the content of the selected mail.

2. If you want to sort your mails by Sender-wise, click the small downward arrow to the right of the Inbox link located just above the Inbox mails panel; Outlook displays a drop-down displaying different sort options.

· Click By Sender option; the Inbox mails panel immediately refreshes itself and display all the mails sent to you.

3. If you want to sort your mails by Subject-wise, click the small downward arrow to the right of the Inbox link located just above the Inbox mails panel; Outlook displays a drop-down displaying different sort options.

· Click By Subject option; the Inbox mails panel immediately refreshes itself and display all the mails subject-wise in ascending order.

4. If you want to sort your mails by Conversation-wise, click the small downward arrow to the right of the Inbox link located just above the Inbox mails panel; Outlook displays a drop-down displaying different sort options.

· Click By Conversation option; the Inbox mails panel immediately refreshes itself and display all the mails sent to you date-wise, the recent conversation appearing first in the Inbox.

5. If you want to sort your mails by Sent To-wise, click the small downward arrow to the right of the Inbox link located just above the Inbox mails panel; Outlook displays a drop-down displaying different sort options.

· Click Sent To option; the Inbox mails panel immediately refreshes itself and display all the mails sent to you date-wise, the first mail being the latest one sent to you on today.

6. If you want to sort your mails by Unread By Conversation Topic, click the small downward arrow to the right of the Inbox link located just above the Inbox mails panel; Outlook displays a drop-down displaying different sort options.

· Click Unread By Conversation Topic option; the Inbox mails panel immediately refreshes itself and display all the mails sent to you but have not read. The mails are displayed as per Conversation-wise, the recent Conversion appearing first in the Inbox.

7. If you want to sort your mails by Unread Messages, click the small downward arrow to the right of the Inbox link located just above the Inbox mails panel; Outlook displays a drop-down displaying different sort options.

· Click Unread Messages option; the Inbox mails panel immediately refreshes itself and display all the unread mails sent to you as per time and date wise.

8. If you just want to view your mails as per time and date, then chose the Messages option; click the small downward arrow to the right of the Inbox link located just above the Inbox mails panel. Outlook displays a drop-down displaying different sort options.

· Click Messages option; the Inbox mails panel immediately refreshes itself and display all the mails sent to you as per time and date wise.

9. If you want to have a Two-Line View, click Inbox link located just above the Inbox mails panel. Click the small downward arrow to the right of the Inbox link located just above the Inbox mails panel; Outlook displays a drop-down displaying different sort options.

· Click Two-Line View option; the Inbox mails panel immediately refreshes itself and display all the mails sent to you with the Sender's Name and the mail's Subject in two different lines.

Who Read Product Guides By the Way?

Is guide writing a waste exercise? There are so many reports, which say that people around the world, always find product guides as unavoidable nuisance. Frankly speaking, most of the customers (end users) do not read guides, which are supplied along with their new products. End users always try to handle new products, as if they know quite well in advance about how to deal or use them although they are handling it for the first time. With imagined functionality knowledge, they press buttons here and there located on the product without making any effort to read the guide. When the product starts behaving bizarrely, only then they try to go through the provided guide in a haphazard manner. They expect that the solution for their current problem should appear instantly when they open the product guide. Moreover, when they cannot find the solution immediately, they pickup the phone, call the Product Support Team to bash them about selling such a lousy product, and to request a readymade solution to fix the product to make it work immediately.

Technical writers do more research before they start writing about the product. They try to cover every feature of the product while writing the guide keeping the target audience in mind. A single product needs to be presented in different kinds and categories of guides depending upon the types of end users. Different reviewers will review every guide. The reviewer attempts the tasks explained in the guide makes sure that everything is written properly. Recession, Cost-Cutting, and Sacrifice

During these times of recession, every company is undergoing a
significant cost-cutting session. Most of the companies are allotting
this cost-cutting job to the Human Resource department since they are
free and there are no new recruitments to be made in these turbulent
times. Once the official cost-cutting person is appointed, the
concerned person focuses on different aspects of cost cutting. These
aspects range from cutting power bills to cutting redundant jobs.
Since the cost cutting follows a layered approach, this article tries
to analyze the different cost cutting measures the company adopts in
different rounds of cost cutting so that the employers can stay afloat
in these difficult times no matter what.

Normally, in the first round of cost cutting, the cost-cutter targets
power bills, paper waste, printing, diesel, etc, kind of stuff. During
these times, the employees can breathe easy because this activity
indicates that the company is still not thinking of laying off
employees to save their profits. Once all the fringe cost-cutting
measures are done and the company reaches its targeted figures, then
the employees can think that their jobs are safe until for the next
few days.

If the recession continues and the company is unable to withstand the
worst of the recession effects, then the second round cost cutting
starts. This time, the cost cutter may target employees who have been
recently recruited and have been in training for the last few months.
These people have yet to contribute to the profits of the company but

Now, the company employs only experienced people who have been with

present survival. Meanwhile, the company scrutinizes the performance
of different layers of employees and filters them based on their
performance. Now, again the company hits by recession. Immediately,
the third round of cost-cutting starts; this time, the company
executes its pre-prepared list and lays off employees based on their
performance.

Finally, a stage reaches where the company depends on the experts, who
have been considered as the cream of the company workforce. Now, these
people along with the directors, who are reluctant to cut their fat
salaries instead of laying off employees, run the company on the
day-to-day basis. Unfortunately, the recession strikes again and the
company decides to lay off the cream layer also. Only the directors
remain. So far, the directors are taking their fat salaries
irrespective of the crisis and employee layoffs. The directors who
care nobody except himself or herself have forgotten the sacrifices
made by the employees all these years who made the company reach its
zenith.

In summary, people who are in the top ranks of the company ladder are
neither responding nor willing to make sacrifices in these turbulent
times of recession to save those employees who had worked for the
company day-in and day-out. The employees have been making sacrifices
both in good and old times. The only thing that remained throughout is
the sacrifice of the employees irrespective of whether there is a
recession or not.

Indian Citizen – Are You Questioning Your Representative?

India, right now, is in the midst of elections hungama. Eligible
candidates have already thrown their hats in the ring and have already
started vying against their opponents. Indian citizens are also
watching the elections excitement closely. 2009 elections are crucial
for India. And there are so many reasons to say so.

The first reason is that the world economy is down due to recession
and this has already created a major impact on Indian exports forcing
companies to close down their operations and lay off their loyal
employees, who had worked for the company so long. The second reason
is in the last 4 years, prices of goods have almost doubled forcing
people who do not have substantial income to go to bed without dinner.
The third reason is the infrastructure of India, whether it is power,
roads, etc, has not been developed with respect to the rate of the
population growth. The fourth reason is the protectionist measures
being implemented by developed countries like America to protect their
own job losses. Because of this Indian IT industry is on the shaking
ground now. The fifth reason is terrorism. Today, the neighboring
countries of India are fighting daily with the extremist elements on a
daily basis. The Maoist terror in Nepal, the LTTE extremities in Sri
Lanka, the Taliban leeway in Pakistan and Afghanistan and the recent
26/11 attacks on India are the symptoms of coming terror days. Like
this, one can enumerate so many crucial hot reasons, which force every
Indian citizen to sit and notice. Now, the point is does the
politicians who are contesting by making so many popular promises can
take care of all these things or look after his/her own concerns and
bag a few billions by indulging in corrupt practices as they did
previously?

This article wants to ask every Indian to think about their respective
representative's previous poll promises and how far they were
fulfilled by the concerned person. If not, why? India is not the same
country as it was in post-Independence era now. The whole world is
developing at a rapid pace. If India won't develop, then she will lose
the race. Not only that she may lose to take advantages of things
happening in and around the world at a rapid pace but also the job
opportunities, which have direct impact on daily lives of this huge
population.

The development of India starts from your bloc. If every Indian
citizen starts questioning the accountability of their concerned
representatives, then within no time, India will have better
representatives serving every nook and corner of the country.

Remember one thing: The dearest friends of Development are
Accountability and Responsibility and wherever there is no
Accountability, there won't be any Development.
